OxyBatt took part in the 25th International Conference on Solid State Ionics (SSI-25), held from 5 to 10 July 2026 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Held every two years, SSI is the leading international forum for the solid-state ionics community. This year’s edition brought together more than 700 delegates from around the world to discuss advances in ion-conducting materials, electrochemical devices and energy-storage technologies.
During the conference, OxyBatt project coordinator Federico Baiutti presented the talk “Towards Next-Generation Ion-Insertion Materials for Energy Storage”. The presentation introduced the latest advances achieved within the project, including results on the long-term performance of OxyBatt’s thin-film prototype devices.
The presentation attracted considerable interest and prompted discussions on device miniaturisation, potential fields of application and future development pathways. These exchanges highlighted the scientific community’s interest in OxyBatt and helped focus the conversation on the next challenges and opportunities for the technology.
